Daily Health Check Using the LiveSafe App

One of the requirements in Washington Gov. Jay Inslee's Campus Reopening Guide is to have a health screening process. All community members returning to campus need to affirm that they are healthy and able to come to campus. To do this at scale, we're launching a tool called LiveSafe.

Download the App

It is available to IOS and Android users. You can also download from the app store or Google Play store, by searching LiveSafe. You create your profile and select Whitworth University as your organization.

View this video for a quick overview of how the app works.

Don't have a smartphone?

If you do not own a smartphone you can still complete the Daily Health Check. It is recommended that you save this page on your web browser to make it easier to find this link to use daily.

Whitworth will be using a reporting function on the LiveSafe app. If you do not have a smartphone please report the following concerns to covidcareteam@whitworth.edu:

  • Any COVID-19 concerns
  • If you have been exposed to COVID-19
  • If you have been identified as a close contact by public health
  • If you are currently being tested for COVID-19
  • If you have tested positive for COVID-19

Using LiveSafe

Daily Health Check

When you open the Daily Health Check card on the LiveSafe app you will be directed to an online form. We are using a JotForm that is HIPAA compliant to conduct the daily checks. Follow the prompts on the form to complete and answer the questions honestly. To come onto campus you will need to answer no to all of the questions to be cleared to come to campus. If are experiencing symptoms or have been in close contact with a suspected or confirmed case, you will answer yes to one or more questions on the health check. There will be resources and instructions on the next steps as you complete the screening.

How to Protect Yourself Against COVID-19

This card will open up a short training video on how to best protect yourself against COVID-19 and offers good resources on what to do if you have COVID-19.

Report a COVID-19 Concern

Whitworth is using this function as the primary reporting tool for app users. When you open this card on the app and complete the easy report, two-way communication will be started with the COVID Cares Team. Use this to report the following:

  • Any COVID-19 concerns
  • If you have been exposed to COVID-19
  • If you have been identified as a close contact by public health
  • If you are currently being tested for COVID-19
  • If you have tested positive for COVID-19

COVID-19 Resources

Here you can access resources provided by the CDC, mental health resources and can access the Safety Map.

Global 911

Attention: The red "Call 911" button is active! This is a cool feature on the app as it will locate and call the nearest emergency services wherever you are in the world. If you are experiencing an emergency while traveling internationally this button will connect you to emergency services.

Safe Walk

On the bottom middle of the screen, you will see an icon of a person walking. Click the icon to use the Walk Safe feature on the app. Here you can invite family and friends to virtually escort you from one place to another. When you invite family and friends to watch you walk, they can connect either through the app or through a web view on their phone.

Notifications

On the bottom right of the screen, you will see a megaphone. Clicking on this icon will take you to see a history of all the notifications and communications you receive on the app.
