Region for summer 2017: Greater Camas
Hometown, State: Camas, Wash
Major, minor: Nursing major, theology minor
Whitworth activities/clubs: Young Life, Whitworth Radio, intramurals, Hosanna attendee
Most influential class or professor and why: So far, Foundations of Christian Leadership, taught by Kent McDonald, has played a key role in shaping my Whitworth experience. Not only have I learned how to be a better leader for kids, I have learned what it means to follow Christ authentically and how to grow overall as a person.
What Whitworth means to me: To me, Whitworth has become a solid home base. Not only have I found incredible friends that are now family, I have been challenged in my beliefs and would not be the person I am today without Whitworth.
My favorite experience as a Whitworthian (so far): Playing Spikeball and hammocking in The Loop on the (few) sunny days!
What I hope to do after I graduate: After I graduate, I hope to be a full-time trauma nurse. I also hope to continue leading Young Life for many years to come.
Why I'm excited to be a part of the Alumni Discovery Project this year: I am excited to meet different alumni and to hear how Whitworth has played a role in their lives to this day.
