Alumni Email Account for Life

Important Notice Regarding Your Whitworth Email Account

In order to better protect you and Whitworth, Whitworth changed security around Email for Life in August of 2023 for all my.whitworth.edu Outlook accounts by implementing multi-factor authentication (MFA). Your action was required to keep your my.whitworth.edu account active. Below is some information to help you discern what steps you need to take if you missed the Aug. 15, 2023, deadline.

  • Not having or using a my.whitworth.edu email account will not affect your ability to access services like printing an unofficial transcript, etc., via the website. Taking no action or closing your my.whitworth.edu account only affects your ability to use that email account.
  • If you do not have or use a my.whitworth.edu email account, or if you have already completed the MFA enrollment process, this does not apply to you and you can stop reading right now.
  • If you wish to regain access to your my.whitworth.edu Outlook email account please complete this form https://publicforms.whitworth.edu/alumni/alumni-email-life to reactivate your email account. The form will ask you five security questions about your Whitworth education. Correctly answering four of the five questions will expedite the process. If you don't answer at least four questions correctly, a representative from the alumni office may contact you for further verification of your identity. Please allow 2-3 business days to process your request.

If you reactivate your email account, here are the changes you can expect:

  • To set up the MFA enrollment process, you will need to download the Microsoft authenticator app on your device.
  • The first time you log in to the O365 portal, you will be prompted to enroll in the MFA process: Alumni Email for Life Enrollment Instructions
  • After enrolling, each time you log in, you will receive a prompt on your authenticator app where you will need to enter in the two-digit code presented: Alumni Email for Life Login Instructions
