School of Health Sciences
The School of Health Sciences prepares graduates to serve people and communities in a wide variety of health and wellness careers. The school includes four academic departments:
- Undergraduate department of health sciences (B.S. in health science, B.A. in community health)
- Department of athletic training (MSAT)
- Department of occupational therapy (OTD)
- Department of physical therapy (DPT)
Through mission-driven programs of excellence, students in the School of Health Sciences explore their discipline through the study of natural and social sciences. Students engage in evidence-based study of the human body, our social communities, and connections to holistic health and wellness. Graduates live out Whitworth's mind-and-heart mission as advocates for the health and wellness of their clients, patients and communities through equitable, just and compassionate care for all people.
