Sam Spencer

Sam Spencer '15 is vice president, global portfolio management at QuadReal Property Group (QuadReal), a global real estate investment, development and operating company headquartered in Vancouver, B.C. Prior to joining QuadReal, she was director of analytics, research and governance for real estate at the Alberta Investment Management Co. (AIMCo) and a real estate investment officer at the Oregon State Treasury (OST) for the Oregon Public Employees Retirement Fund (OPERF). Before joining OST, Spencer was a senior manager research analyst at Pension Consulting Alliance (PCA), covering real estate, timberland and agriculture asset classes for several U.S. pension clients. Spencer holds an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and a B.A. in economics, international business and Spanish from Whitworth University, graduating magna cum laude. She holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation and is a member of the CAIA Association. Spencer is also an active ambassador of the Girls Who Invest nonprofit and is chair of Whitworth's Finance Advisory Council.
