Favorite Quote: "If I didn't define myself for myself, I would be crunched into other people's fantasies for me and eaten alive." – Audre Lorde
Favorite Activities in Spokane: Having moved from a large city, I've developed a deep appreciation for the natural beauty that surrounds me in my day-to-day life. Activities like bike riding and paddle boarding not only allow me to enjoy the outdoors, but also provide a sense of balance, relaxation and productivity.
Favorite Thing About Whitworth: The overall culture and environment are truly unique. From the moment you arrive, there's a genuine sense of warmth and positivity. The intentional focus on support and community is exceptional – and it's something everyone values and benefits from.
Advice for Whitworth Applicants: Don't let fear of the unknown hold you back. Oftentimes, fear and lack of comfortability make room for character building and growth. Whether you're unsure of your purpose in life or your beliefs, Whitworth is the best place for you to figure it out. You can discover for yourself who you are and who you want to be.
Free-for-All: Anything involving the arts makes me excited! Storytelling is such an amazing craft that I admire, whether it's through a book of poetry or an album where each song is its own chapter. To be able to express myself and tap into my creative mind is liberating and essential to who I am.
