Children & Youth Programming (Infants to 17 years)
With our redesigned virtual conference format, programming for children & youth will not be available for the 2020 Whitworth Ministry Summit. We can't wait to welcome families back to campus in 2021!
Youth programming is designed to put parents' minds at ease and allow them to participate fully in the Whitworth Ministry Summit program. Youth programs are available during all scheduled sessions and feature exciting times filled with fun, faith-building exercises and fellowship. We do our best to connect our youth programs with the themes and topics of the adult programs, so you'll be able to continue the conversation with your kids. Teens aged 16-17 may opt to participate in the full adult program if preferred.
Teens (entering 7th grade +)
Teens will spend the week discussing what it means to hope in Christ through discussions, small groups, games, service learning opportunities and fellowship with one another. Teens will have multiple opportunities to go off campus.
Preteens (entering 5th & 6th grade)
Preteens will spend the morning participating in age-appropriate rotations. Afternoons and evenings will feature a program designed just for this age group that includes team-building and a special service project. Throughout the week, they will have the opportunity to learn and discuss with peers what it means to make their faith their own.
Elementary (entering 1st-4th grade)
Children in the elementary group spend their day learning about what it means to be a Christian and how they can find hope in Christ. They will spend time rotating through games, hands-on lessons and various service projects. Evenings are all about fun!
Early Childhood (infants-kindergarten)
These programs will be based on each child's developmental level and can be flexible throughout the week to accommodate each child's needs. Children in pre-K and kindergarten may explore lessons with elementary students, play games, and enjoy music time. Children 2-3 years old will enjoy lessons on God's love for them, play outside, hear stories and more. Infants and toddlers will love story time, outside walks, playtime and more. We try to keep them as close to their home routines as possible.
A few weeks before the program begins, you will receive an email requesting more information about your child and his or her routines so that we can be prepared to care for each child as s/he arrives. Please complete this online form promptly.
Please note: The above information is meant to give you an example of what Summit youth programming typically consists of. Schedules may change due to time, weather or other constraints. Additionally, we can only guarantee care for children and youth that are registered by the designated registration deadline.
