Frequently Asked Questions

Should I come to an Admitted Student Day if I have visited campus before?

Absolutely! Admitted Student Weekend is designed to help you build connections with current and future Pirates, meet and talk to Whitworth faculty and staff, and dive deeper into topics you might still be wondering about. Check out the Event Schedule for more info.

How can I earn the Visit Scholarship?

At the end of Admitted Student Weekend you'll be sent a link to a quick feedback form. Students who complete that form and enroll at Whitworth this fall will receive a one-time, $1,000 Visit Scholarship for their first year at Whitworth.

How do meals work at Admitted Student Days?

All student and guest meals at Admitted Student Weekend are complimentary. That includes a coffee & donut bar during check-in, lunch Friday, and dinner Friday.

What should I wear?

Attire for the event is casual, and most students will wear the same type of clothes they regularly wear to school. There is a lot of traveling around campus at Admitted Student Day, so we recommend comfortable shoes. Let us know if you or your guests have mobility concerns and we'd be happy to provide golf cart transportation when possible!

Where should I park on campus?

You will be emailed a parking pass the week of the event (copies will also be available at check-in) and are welcome to park in any unmarked space on campus. Convenient parking is located in the A, B and H lots (find them ahead of time on our campus map).

Will there be activities for parents/guests during the event?

Yes! Activities for parents and guests will be offered throughout the event, including mock lectures from Whitworth faculty, info sessions and a seminar with student affairs staff.

View a tentative event schedule here.

When should I arrive on campus?
