Campus Visit Travel Reimbursement
We know that the best possible way to learn whether Whitworth is a good college fit for you is to visit campus. We also know that travel isn't cheap and some families may need financial assistance to make a campus visit possible.
We are committed to reimbursing a significant amount of travel expenses for every admitted high school senior and transfer student who participate in a full-day or overnight visit event following their admission for fall 2023.
Travel reimbursements are available in the following amounts:

All other U.S. states and International Countries | $500 |
Please note that reimbursable expenses include airfare, gas, rental car or lodging. Meal expenses cannot be reimbursed.
To receive a travel reimbursement, you must:
- Apply and be admitted to enroll as a first-year or transfer student for fall 2023 prior to the visit event for which you are requesting reimbursement.
- Register for and attend a full-day or overnight campus visit event at Whitworth. Please note that daily tours do not qualify. Qualifying visit events include:
- Why Whitworth Days: Various dates available in the fall and spring semesters
- Fall Preview: Oct. 9-10, 2022
- Music Open House: Nov. 4, 2022
- Honors Scholarship Weekend: Feb. 11-12 & Feb. 25-26, 2023
- Bucs Bound: March 19-20, 2023
- Mentorship Visit Program (MVP): April 14-15, 2023
- Upload receipts for student travel expenses and complete the online travel reimbursement form that will be emailed to you after your visit. The travel reimbursement form must be completed within 30 days of your campus visit.
