About Our Office

The Whitworth University Office of Educational Certification, Career Services, Assessment & Placement acts as a certification office for Washington state certification, provides job-seeking assistance in educational fields for current Whitworth students and graduates, offers fingerprinting services for Whitworth students and community members planning to work in the K-12 schools, gathers and reports program data for state and federal reporting purposes, and works with districts to secure field placements for all certification-seeking candidates.

The certification office is located in Dixon Hall Room 303. The placement office is located in Dixon Hall Room 301.

Fingerprinting Services

Our office offers electronic fingerprinting services. Fingerprint services are by appointment only. Please contact Crystal Weddington at cweddington@whitworth.edu to schedule an appointment. Prior to your appointment, you must pay the $80 fingerprinting fee. There are two payment options:

In person (check or credit card): please go to the cashier's office (McEachran Hall 102) to pay the $80 fingerprinting fee. If you choose this option, you must take the Fingerprinting Payment Form (first page of the Fingerprinting Form that was emailed to you when you made your appointment) to the cashier's office. Once the cashier has signed the form, please bring that verification of payment with you for your appointment.

What to bring on the day of your appointment:

Fingerprinting Payment Form (if you paid the fee in person) signed by the cashier's office
Government issued ID (driver's license or passport; Whitworth student ID is not acceptable)
Completed Fingerprinting Form
