Information about the MBA from alum Jeremy Keller.Employer: Vera Water and Power
Job Title: Credit Manager

Why did you choose Whitworth?

I considered multiple schools in my search for an MBA program that would fit both my needs and the needs of my family. After weighing all the options, I decided to attend Whitworth because of its outstanding reputation, small class size, U-District location, and convenient scheduling options. Faculty and students are on a first-name basis at Whitworth, which allows for individualized attention and a much more personal learning environment than I would have found at any online school.

How has Whitworth's program helped connect you with community members and businesses?

Most Whitworth MBA students are working adults who bring a wealth of knowledge and industry experience to the classroom. Their knowledge and experience, coupled with classroom discussion and projects, provide the perfect opportunity for simultaneous networking and learning.

Whitworth is very proactive about introducing students to business leaders from the community. Students are invited and encouraged to attend outside events, while community leaders are invited into the classroom to speak to, and oftentimes instruct, the class. I can't think of a more successful way to be immersed in the Spokane business community.

How does the program schedule work for you?

I am married, have five active children, and work full time, and I am still able to fit Whitworth's evening MBA program into my schedule. It was a juggling act at first, but my wife is very supportive, and the one-to-two-days per week evening program is convenient to schedule around.
