Whitworth University partners with AIG WorldRisk to provide comprehensive medical and accident insurance to all students and employees traveling overseas on university-sponsored programs and activities.

What Medical Treatment is Covered?
This is a comprehensive medical and accident insurance policy, which provides up to $50,000 per covered individual per injury or illness. There is a $500 deductible. Preventive, routine or otherwise normal dental and elective care visits are not covered.
Where Do I Go for Emergency Medical Care?
In a non-emergency situation, you should call AIG WorldRisk at (+1) 817.826.7008, and they will direct you to the closest medical facility.
AIG WorldRisk is an in-network partner with many hospitals and clinics. In the event that the facility you visit is not a direct-bill partner, you may have to pay for some care up front and can then file a claim for reimbursement.
Where Can I Access My Insurance ID Card?
You can obtain your insurance ID card on the AIG WorldRisk website. Click here to visit their website and click on the "Register Here" link under Login. To register, you will need to enter the Whitworth policy #WS11021907. Alternatively, you may contact Whitworth at ocp@whitworth.edu to obtain a copy of the insurance card.
Are Evacuation Services Covered?
Yes, coverage is in place if medical evacuation is deemed necessary as well as evacuations for security and natural disasters. Each situation is covered up to $100,000 per person to return to the participant’s home country or nearest place of safety, depending on the circumstances.
Whom Should I Call with Questions About Coverage or Travel?
AIG WorldRisk can answer any questions related to insurance claims, medical/travel assistance, and general information for the participants, parents or others. Does This Insurance Plan Also Include Travel Insurance?
The AIG WorldRisk insurance plan provides solely medical and accident-related coverage and does not include items traditionally found within standard travel insurance, such as trip cancellation/interruption and broad coverage for lost/stolen luggage.
Whitworth University does not have a sponsored travel insurance partner and encourages all students and families to independently determine their need for travel insurance coverage.
